Larry Eastepp is a Houston attorney with 36 years experience. He was with the United States Department of Justice for 22 years as an Assistant United States Attorney in 2 federal districts within Texas. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Larry handled large white-collar cases, including bank fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, bankruptcy fraud, Ponzi-scheme fraud, insurance fraud, healthcare fraud, Medicare fraud, Medicaid fraud, and public corruption, among others. The Department of Justice called upon Larry to teach its attorneys, and he often taught trial advocacy to Assistant U.S. Attorneys from around the country. He also has foreign experience, having been tasked to teach public officials in Europe how to investigate and prosecute economic crimes and corruption. He also lectured to Chinese government officials on corruption issues.  This experience gives Larry unique skills and insights into defending Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations and cases.

Larry is a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and was president of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center with a juris doctorate degree. While in law school, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honor fraternity. He is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas and holds federal licenses to practice in the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
 
In addition to his work experience with the United States Department of Justice, he was also employed as an Assistant District Attorney for Jefferson County, Texas, and was a felony chief prosecutor during his tenure in that office.


Classes, Seminars And Presentations:

In 2009 Larry instructed in Europe to Albania government agencies on how to investigate and prosecute financial crimes and bribery. He also lectured in 2010 to an official Chinese delegation on how the United States investigates and prosecutes public officials.


Honors And Awards:

Larry has received Commendations from the Director of the FBI, the United States Secret Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Department of Justice-Office of the Inspector General, Veterans Affairs-Office of the Inspector General, and Director of the Executive Office of United States Attorneys. He also has many commendations from United States Attorneys.  Larry was also elected by Assistant United States Attorneys to be an At-Large Member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Assistant United States Attorneys.
